Firstly,you need to prepare the Auxiliary gas,water and electricity.

1.Auxiliary gas
We suggest you use the auxiliary gas to weld.Nitrogen and argon are all ok.It can protect the lens so the lens lifetime will be
longer. The price of the gas is different in different counties and regions. If you think the cost
of the gas is too high, you can use air compressor to produce air gas. But the welding effect
will not very good, the welding surface of the metal may be black, so our customers should
wipe the surface of the metal with ethyl alcohol.Nitrogen or argon all is ok.

You need to prepare 18L pure water or distilled water.We will drain the water in the water chiller before shipment
to prevent the water inside form becoming moldy and deteriorated during transportation.So you need to put in the
water when you receive it.And it will be better to change the water once a week.

1000w welding machine need 220V,single phase.So you need to prepare the air switch in advance.

Today we want to introduce some questions about handheld fiber laser welding machine.We received them form many different clients.So we want to share them with you.


1 )Firstly, What is the difference between Rayson, MAX and IPG Laser source?

Do you mean Raycus,MAX and IPG? RFL and RPT seems like the tha laser source model number.
If you mean Raycus, MAX and IPG,they have no big difference on welding effect,just different laser source brand.We will recommend
our clients choose IPG laser source when they choose ≥4000w laser source(fiber laser cutting machine) because it is more suitable.For
welding machine,Raycus is enough.

2) Secondly, There are many different types and models of Raycus Laser source in the offers. Please give us more detailed information about
Raycus Laser source. Which models are better?

We use RFL-C1500H for our 1500w fiber laser welding machine.We also confirm with Raycus engineer.H series is specially used for
fiber laser welding machine.Some suppliers use X series(RFL-C1500X),it is mainly for fiber laser cutting machine.We don’t know
other Raycus models.If you have other questions,pls let me know.

3)Thirdly, The laser head in your offer is Shenzhen brand. There are 3 different laser heads (Hanwei, Qilin, Xinghong), and 3
different wire feeders (Xinghong,Qilin and Hanwei) in your offer.. If we buy machine with wire feeder, is the wire feeder suitable for
all 4 type ? What are the advantages and disadvantages of these 3 different brand.? Standard diameter of wire are 08, / 1,8 / 2,0 mm.
What is the advantage of having a 0.2-5 mm adjustable Qilin ? According to us, the Xinghong head looks suitable for a thinner and
smoother welding. What is your opinion about this?

*About the wire feeder
Our standard confirgurations is Hanwei welding gun,so we marked manufacturered by Shenzhen(Qilin is also in Shenzhen,Xinghong is in Wuhan).
The welding gun,control board/systerm and wire feeder are used together with one same brand.For example,if you choose Hanwei welding
gun,the control board and wire feeder are Hanwei brand.And they can be used for Hanwei welding gun.

*About the welding gun
90% of our clients choose Hanwei welding gun.And some of them choose Qilin(Qilin need add to extra 500USD).The advantage of Qilian is that
its spot size is ajustable and its has six welding mode.So it is suitable for more jobs.The configurations of Hanwei and Xinghong are similar,but
Xinghong need add 400USD so we recmommend you choose Hanwei.

The auto feeding wire is a device as shown in the following pictures.

Which can automatically fill the welding wire while welding; the manual type is held by hands without additional device.

Wire selection: solid wire, no need core needed, diameter 0.8-1.2MM (customer matching according to the thickness of the plate welded by himself).

The inner diameter of the reel is 6.6CM, and the outer diameter is ≤30CM (there is a reel in the wire feeder, and the customer can move it to the reel in the wire feeder after buying the wire).

The relationship among laser spot, welding wires and welding line(gap)

Laser spot > welding wire > welding line

Eg.: 0.5mm welding line should use 0.8mm welding wire, but can not use 0.3mm welding wire.

Which kind of welding wires should we choose which is depends on which kind of material you want to weld

This feeding system have stable feeding function, with strong anti-jamming.

Can feeding 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm wire. 1mm wire and 1.0mm, 1.2mm scroll wheel feeding as standard.

Usually,we need auto wire feeder when we use fiber laser welding machine.

The auto wire will help the welding effect much better So how to use the wire feeder.

There are several steps

1, install the wire roll, the counter clockwise

2, pull down these two handle, then pull in the wire

3, release the screw

4, pull in the connector, then tighten the screws

5, connect the power and turn on the machine

6, put the black wire straight (must be straight)

7, release the screw on the nozzle. And press the “Run” until the wire come out from the nozzle.

8, connect the cable with welding machine.

1. Find the reasons of poor welding quality.

First, check the welding quality of welding products.

Generally, there are two methods: visual inspection and destructive inspection.
Visual inspection, it is the staff to determine whether the welding product is qualified based on their rich work experience, but it’s not enough to make a conclusion, then requires destructive inspection, that is to tear the welding base metal to confirm whether the welding quality is qualified.

Second, analyze the causes according to the phenomenon.

Generally, if the welding process is poor, there may be a problem with the welding material, it is necessary to change the material or change the wave setting process condition of laser welding equipment to solve the welding quality problem.
(1).If welding failure occurs continuous in the same part of the welded product, it is likely that there is a problem with the workbench and clamp.
(2).If there is welding penetration and virtual welding phenomenon, you can check the energy stability of the machine.

2. Solutions of welding quality problems.

1. There is no need to installation for the handheld laser welding machine, our customers can use it directly after receiving the machine.

It is very easy to operate, there is no installation and training cost. We have manual and operation video for our customers and aslo provide video call training, we can make sure that our customers can use this machine within 3 days for free.

2. The quickly-wear parts for the handheld fiber laser welding machine are only protective lens and copper nozzle.

And if you buy them from us, we can give you the cost price, USD10 for copper nozzle(lifetime is 360 hours) and USD8 for protective lens(lifetime is 240 hours).

3. Compared with the traditional welding, like tig, handheld fiber laser welding machine no need to use welding wire, only when the gap more than 0.5mm, we should use the wire feeder.

4. The maintenance for this machine is very easy, when finish your welding work, turn off the power and clean the welding head, it can make the lifetime of protective lens and copper nozzle longer.

5. Except the quick-wear parts, the machine also consume electricity and gas.
The power consumption of 1kw machine is 11kw to 12kw/hour at full power situation.In fact, we usually just use 50%-60% power of 1000w to weld the metals, it is enough, so the power consumption is small.
The machine aslo need to connect with gas, argon or nitrogen. The gas can isolate the air from the welding plate to prevent the reaction with the air.

So the welding surface of the metal plate will be white and beautiful.

The gas also can protect the lens from welding dust. The price of the gas is different in different counties and regions, if our customers think the cost of the gas is too high, they can use air compressor to produce air gas.

But the welding effect will not very good, the welding surface of the metal may be black, so our customers should wipe the surface of the metal with ethyl alcohol.
