Gas consumption when cutting:

At first, the tank gas is about 40 L, Nitrogen cut stainless steel about 20-30 minutes / tank; Oxygen cut carbon steel, the thicker the gas consumption is slower.

NOTE: For example. In China, one bottle of Oxygen is 50$/bottle,
Standard oxygen or nitrogen gas bottle is 40 L/bottle

1 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/40 minutes
2 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/50 minutes
3 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/60 minutes
4 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/70 minutes
5 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/80 minutes
6 mm Carbon steel cutting time consuming 40 L/90 minutes
For carbon steel, The thicker metal you cut, the less Oxygen pressure you need, because if use higher Oxygen pressure for thicker metal sheet, it will be burned.
0.5-0.8 mm stainless steel 40 L/30 minutes
1 mm stainless steel 40 L/30 minutes
2 mm stainless steel 40 L/30 minutes

Advantages

For aluminum, the thicker metal sheet, the higher Nitrogen pressure it needs. For example, if cut 1 mm aluminum, use 10 kg Nitrogen. If cut 4 mm aluminum, need 20 kg Nitrogen.

Generally speaking, consumption gas when cutting is the thicker metal sheet, the higher Nitrogen pressure it needs.
For example, if cut 1 mm stainless steel, use 10 kg Nitrogen. If cut 4 mm stainless steel, need 20 kg Nitrogen.
But in order to keep higher cutting speed for thin metal sheet , such as 1 mm.
So we suggest client to adjust same pressure, all of them are 20 kg, in this way, it can not only make sure of high speed of cutting thin metal sheet, also it can make sure of cutting thick metal sheet.
