Application of Mould Repair Laser Welding Machine

Mold laser welding machine application is for welding and repairing various mould materials: S136, SKD -11, NAK80, 8407, 718, 738, H13, P20, W302, 2344 etc. Besides, its application contains mobile phones, digital product, automobile and motorcycle and other mode making and mould industries.

Mold laser welding machine uses the high energy of heat that instantaneously produced by laser to melt the special-purpose welding wire and connect it with the damaged parts of the mould so it can connect with the original material firmly, then it shows a refaxing by electric spark and grind & cutting and some other processing and so the mould is repaired.

Main Features

  1. Cavity is corrosion resistant and high temperature resistant, and has 8 -10 years’ service life. So the life of xenon lamp is more than 3 million times.
  2. Use the most advanced light shielding system to eliminate the irritation to eyes by light during working.
  3. The laser head and optics part can rotate for 360°, so suitable for repairing of small moulds.
  4. Control panel controls the parameters, and it is simple and convenient.
  5. The work bench is adjustable up and down, and movable in three dimensions.
  6. The size of light spot is adjustable.

Why fiber laser source will replace YAG laser source ?

From last century 60s till now, small power YAG laser is still the mainstream laser source type that used in laser welding machine, widely used in manufacturing and processing of light industries. However, there is more industries need larger power laser to weld more thickness, but larger yag laser source is very big that spend too much room to place the machine, and yag laser photoelectric conversion efficiency is only 3.5%(fiber laser is 30%), the power consumption is a large cost while use, but 6KW power input convert to laser is only about 200 watt output, so,  in nowadays market, we can not see any yag laser that higher than 500 watt.

Fiber laser source has its advantages, handheld fiber laser welding machine is more and more popular.
