There are many standards affecting the cutting quality of laser cutting machine. But which ones are the most influential or most reflective of the quality of laser cutting machine?
The following list of nine indicators. And they can help you better judge the quality of a machine.
First roughness. In most cases, it is necessary to reduce the roughness as much as possible, so the shallower the grain, the higher the cutting quality.
Second verticality. If the thickness of sheet metal exceeds 10 mm, the verticality of cutting edge is very important. When away from the focus, the laser beam becomes divergent. According to the position of the focus, the cutting direction becomes wider toward the top or bottom. The more vertical the edge is, the higher the cutting quality is.
Thirdly cutting width. Generally speaking, cutting width does not affect cutting quality. Only when a particularly precise contour is formed inside the part, the cutting width has an important effect. This is because the cutting width determines the minimum inner meridian of the contour. When the thickness of the plate increases, the cutting width also increases.
Next lines. When cutting thick plates at high speed, molten metal will not appear in the incision below the vertical laser beam, but will eject at the back of the laser beam. As a result, the curved lines are formed at the cutting edge, and the lines follow the moving laser beam tightly. To correct this problem, reducing the feed rate at the end of the cutting process can greatly eliminate the lines.
Last deformation. If the cutting makes the parts heated sharply, it will deform, so the smaller the deformation, the better the cutting quality.
