The bottom of the laser cutting head is a nozzle. During the cutting process, the nozzle height is constant, so lifting the cutting head is a way to adjust the focus. With the auto-focus function, the machine can automatically adjust the focus to the appropriate position when machining workpieces of different materials and thicknesses.
