How to choose suitable nozzles-Tulsa

1.4.1 The role of the nozzle

How to choose suitable nozzles? Different nozzle designs make the air flow situation different, which directly affects the cutting quality. The main functions of the nozzle are:

1) Prevent debris such as cutting melting stains from rebounding upward into the cutting head and damaging the lens.

2) The nozzle makes the sprayed gas more concentrated, controls the area and size of the gas diffusion, and makes the

cutting quality better.

1.4.2 The influence of nozzles on cutting quality and the choice of nozzles

1) The relationship between the nozzle and the cutting quality: When the nozzle is deformed or there is residue on the nozzle, it will affect the cutting quality. Therefore, the nozzle should be placed carefully and not scratched; the residue on the nozzle should be cleaned up in time. Nozzles have high precision requirements when they are manufactured. If the cutting quality is poor due to the quality of the nozzle itself, please replace the nozzles in time.

2) Choice of nozzle

Generally speaking, the nozzle diameter is small, the airflow speed is fast, and the molten material removal ability is strong. It is suitable for cutting thin plates and can obtain fine cutting surfaces; when the nozzle diameter is large, the airflow speed is slow, and the molten material removal ability is poor, which is suitable for the slow speed of thick plates. Cutting. If a nozzle with a larger aperture is used to quickly cut a thin plate, the resulting residue may splash upward, causing damage to the protective lens. In addition, the nozzles are divided into composite and single-layer nozzles (see the figure below). Generally, composite nozzles are used to cut carbon steel, and single-layer nozzles are used to cut stainless steel process.
